Who we are
RideWise is operated by RideWiseUK Ltd (company number 14719403), registered office 83a The Avenue, Southampton, SO17 1XJ. For data protection purposes, we're the "controller" of the personal data described on this page.
Booking a journey
When you request a booking, we collect your name, phone number, email (if given), pickup and destination, travel date and time, passenger and luggage details, and any flight or notes you add. We use this to arrange your transfer, contact you about it, and — where you pay online — to process payment via Stripe.
We don't hold this in a searchable customer database. Booking requests are sent as an email to our team, so they exist for as long as that email does, and we delete or archive old bookings periodically. If you'd like a specific booking removed sooner, email us and we will.
Applying to drive with us
The driver application on our Work With Us page collects more detail, because we need it to assess licensing and suitability: your name, contact details, postcode, experience, licensing authority and driver licence details, DVLA licence number, vehicle details and registration, vehicle and insurance licence/expiry information, and the type of work you're interested in.
We only collect what we genuinely need to assess an application — we don't ask for a DBS certificate, for example, since your private hire driver's licence already reflects the checks your licensing authority requires. Document upload (driving licence, private hire licences, insurance certificate) isn't switched on yet on this site; when it is, uploads will be collected through a secure, authenticated channel, not this page.
Like booking requests, applications reach us as an email, not a database entry. If your application isn't successful, or you'd like your details removed, email us and we'll delete the application.
Cookies & analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how people use this site — page views and interactions like button clicks, in aggregate. We don't send names, phone numbers, email addresses, licence numbers, or any other personal or application detail to analytics, even when those events are triggered from a form.
Forms on this site are protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which checks you're not a bot. Google's Privacy Policy applies to that check.
Who else sees it
We use a small number of processors to run this site and don't sell or share your data beyond them: Resend (email delivery), Stripe (card payments, where you choose to pay online), Google (reCAPTCHA and Analytics), and Vercel (website hosting).
Your rights
Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, you can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email bookings@ridewise.taxi and we'll deal with it directly — you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office if you're not happy with our response.
